In the lagoon (part 1)

As mentioned elsewhere I had the opportunity and the pleasure to attend a photography workshop held by Etienne Bossot (founder of Pics of Asia). During that time he brought us to several places around Hoi an and showed us how people are living and working in that area. Beside of the absolutely stunning landscape, the peoples’ friendlyness and hospitality were the things that moved me the most. So, this is the first picture of our visit in Lang Co lagoon (others will follow), a absolutely beautiful piece of earth (tbc).

If you’re not familiar with the working routines, you might misinterpret her posture. She’s searching and collecting crabs and mussels by burrowing the muddy ground with her hands and putting the haul into her pockets. Not an easy way to make your living…
